On the eve of the millennium, 39 year old Tom is on the verge of the best years of his life. Despite being abandoned by his father and a tough childhood he stands on the verge of a new century with the successful and beautiful life he has fought for. Then his body is attacked by a vicious bacteria that tries to kill him, robs him of his limbs and threatens his sanity. An uplifting true story of a man's struggle to overcome incredible odds and hold onto his family in the force of overwhelming odds.
A low budget, high quality project to be made in the beautiful county of Rutland, "Starfish" has been described as the British "Diving Bell and the Butterfly" is targeting a festival audience and attracting the attention of a high calibre cast.

When three middle aged women from the home counties decide that life is too short to live without adventure, they form an Aretha Franklin tribute band and take to the road that might, just might, lead them to Las Vegas. A marriage of "Calender Girls" and "Spinal Tap", "Diva Las Vegas" is about not getting old but getting out, fake bands and phony agents, love and friendship, and a soundtrack that has some of the greatest soul music ever recorded.

The team:
Mel Paton M: +44 07973 659 110 is Origami's senior producer and managing director. An honours graduate in Psychology , Mel has worked in production since leaving university, first in Hong Kong and Thailand and latterly in the UK where she has produced over 300 commercials for clients throughout Europe.
Ros Hubbard has over one hundred feature film and TV credits on the IMDB, including "The Da Vinci Code", "Angela's Ashes" and "Enemy at the Gates". She was the Co-Producer of "The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey" and was honoured with an Oscar Wilde for services to the US / Irish film industry at a 2011 pre-academy awards ceremony in Los Angeles.
Bill Clark M: +44 07850 216808 was the MD of VTR plc's production arm, has worked as a writer and director of award winning tv commercials and is the writer and director of the feature film "The Christmas Miracle of Jonathan Toomey", starring Tom Berenger, Joely Richardson and Saoirse Ronan. He has been a guest lecturer at several Universities and has taught Film and Video at Anglia Ruskin University in Cambridge.
